SHAHI  TUKRA



Shahi tukra is a very famous Hyderabadi sweet dish. Shahi means royal and tukra which means peace. It is like a royal piece of dessert.

Serving:- 4to5people

Ingredients

8 slice of bread,desii ghee,sugar,cardamom,saffron(optional),dry fruits(Pistachios (pista),almonds (for garnishing),grated coconut.

Recipe of  syrup

  •       Take a pan and pour 300ml water into it.
  •        Add 8 to 10 tsp of sugar to water.
  •        Boil the water at medium flame.
  •        When the sugar dissolves.
  •        Boil for a few minutes on low flame until it turns into a medium thick syrup.
  •        Then your syrup is ready.

 

PROCESS OF MAKING

  •     Take a slice of bread and cut brown sides of the bread.
  •        Cut the slices in a triangle shape(cut the shape you want).

 

Frying process

·       Put the pan on gas

·       Add 8 to10 tsp desii ghee to it.

When the desii ghee becomes hot then we start the frying process.

·       Put the slices in pan-fried until they can become crispy and golden brown in color.

·       After 2to3min

·       Dip those slices in hot sugar syrup.

·       Only for 2 to 3sec dip the slices.

 

TIME of garnishing

·       Cut the 3 to 4 almonds into slices.

·       Grind the pista

·       Cut the cashew into slices.

·       Grated the coconut

 

Serving  process

 

·       Take one plate and keep dipped slices.

·       Put white cream on slices

·       Garnish the grated coconut, put saffron, and garnish the almond slices, and cashew on dipped slices.
