Matar paneer pulao is an easy, and protein-packed recipe you can serve in lunch or in the lunchbox. this is a favorite recipe of kids who loved to eat Matar paneer pulao. It is a north Indian dish consisting of Paneer, peas, tomato-based sauce, and garam masala spice mix.
Ingredients
- 11/2 bowl rice
- 1 bowl of peas
- 100 grams paneer
- 2 tsp oil ghee
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 red chili
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 green chilies
- 2 chopped cloves
- green coriander as required
- cloves-2
- bay leaf-2
- green cardamom-2to3
- cinnamon-1
Making of pulao
1. first wash the rice and soak it for 5 to 10 minutes.
2. On another side put the pressure cooker on gas and add oil and when it comes hot then add cumin seeds,(you added rayi if you want if you don’t have cumin seeds(jeera), cloves, bay leaves, green cardamom, cinnamon(all spices)
3. When all spices start roasting, add chopped garlic and onions. when onions and garlic become golden brown, add red chili, salt, a pinch of turmeric, coriander powder, and mango powder.
4. mix it well, add tomatoes until it gets mushy then add curd and garam masala and mix it well.
5. add matar and paneer cubes, mix them well, and add soaked rice. Mix it well.
6. add double the quantity of water from the rice taken.
7. add coriander leaves
8. Let it stay for 3 to 4 whistles.
9. Serve the rice with cucumber raita.
